Kilefner Named CAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week
YORK, PA – York College men’s cross
country sophomore Bret Kilefner (Stevens,
Pa./Cocalico) has been selected as this week’s
Capital Athletic Conference Athlete-of-the-Week.
Kilefner’s first conference honor
comes on the heels of a strong Saturday performance against
Goucher. The Spartans squared-off against the Gophers in a relay
style meet with each team sporting partners with one male and one
female participant. Kilefner and women’s cross country
freshman Corie Thompson (Ambler,
Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) combined to win the meet with a time
of 34:36.
Kilefner and the Spartans now turn their
attention to the CAC Championships on Saturday, November 1. York
will travel to Fredericksburg, Va. looking to improve on last
season’s third place finish.
