Spartans Compete at NCAA Mideast Regionals
ALLENTOWN, PA-The York College women’s cross country squad finished 29th at the 2007 NCAA Mideast Regional hosted by Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. The Spartans accumulated 773 points at the 41 team event. There were 282 runners that participated in the event.
The Spartans were led by junior Jesse Jaeger (Kingsville, Md./Perry Hall) as he crossed the finish line in a time of 26:40. That time was good enough for a 70th place finish. Senior Luke Fernandez (Kennebunkport, Maine/Kennebunk) posted a time of 27:34 as he recorded a 120th place finish. Junior Adam Bean (Pottstown, Pa./St. Pius X) was the third Spartan to finish the race as he placed 186th with a time of 28:40. Kevin Love (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) finished with a time of 29:02 which placed him 197th. Freshman Justin Severini (St. James, N.Y./Smithtown) was the fifth Spartan finisher as he placed 200th with a time of 29:07.
Today’s meet concluded the Spartans’ 2007 campaign. Jeager, Bean, Love and Severini are set to return for the Spartans in 2008.
