Brandon Fugett begins his second season as an assistant coach for the York College track and field team. Fugett brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the program and will be working with the Spartan throwers.
Fugett is currently the head personal trainer at Baltimore Fitness in Owings Mills, Md. Previously, Fugett was the assistant track and field coach, as well as the strength and conditioning coach at Salisbury University. His other experience includes being the head throws coach at Owings Mills Track and Field Club.
Fugett graduated with his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Salisbury University in 2009. While at Salisbury, Fugett was a two-time NCAA Division III shot put champion. He was awarded the Midwest Athlete of the Year 2008-10 Indoor and Outdoor Events. Fugett also was named an Academic All-America in 2010, was a four-time All-American in shot put and a Capital Athletic Conference champion four years in a row. Fugett also received his master’s degree in applied health physiology from Salisbury in 2011.
