SELINSGROVE, PA – The York College men's track and field squad traveled to Susquehanna University on Friday to participate in the Susquehanna Indoor Orange and Maroon Classic in Selinsgrove, PA.
The meet was a non-team scoring meet as the Spartans had a number of strong performances. Junior Brian Koonce had another great performance as he won the pole vault event for the second weekend in a row.

Junior Brian Koonce now has two wins and another top 15 finish in his three pole vault competitions of the year … sophomore Michael Richardson has a trio of top 16 finishes in the pole vault for the Spartans including a personal best 3.95 meters at Susquehanna … the Spartan pole vault group has won each of the first three meets as Koonce has two victories and Kevin Landis has the other (at F&M on December 2) … York had a trio of personal bests in the 3000 meter run as Jian Gentile (9:34.51), Erik Whitelaw (10:12.53), and Nick Miguelino (10:58.00) all had a strong race in setting the personal marks.
The Spartans return to action on Friday as they head to the two-day Bison Open at Bucknell University. Friday's action kicks off at 1:00 pm and Saturday's action begins at 10:00 am in Lewisburg, PA.
