Members of the York College men’s and women’s track & field squad competed at the Swarthmore Last Chance meet Monday at Swarthmore College, looking to hit marks for a possible bid into next week’s NCAA National Outdoor Championships in Claremont, Calif.

Green and White Capture Second Place at CAC Championships
Phillip Cavaluchi, Tim Hartung, and Alex Aponte each registered individual victories Sunday as the York College men’s track & field team secured second place at the two-day Capital Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by Frostburg St. University. The Spartans collected 108 team points to garner the runner-up spot while first-place Salisbury posted 253 points.

Childres, Hartung Go 1-2 in 10K; Spartans Second Overall After Day One
The York College men’s track & field team sit in the second-place as of the close of competition on the first day of the 2012 Capital Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Spartans currently hold the runner-up spot with 31 points while first-place Salisbury has posted 48.

Cavaluchi Wins Long Jump as Spartans Compete at Greyhound Invitational
The York College men’s track & field squad competed at the Greyhound Invitational on Saturday at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa. Junior Phillip Cavaluchi continued his outstanding campaign as he captured the win in the long jump. The Spartan standout posted a victorious 6.95-meter (22’ 9.75”) leap as he bested several Division I student-athletes.

Spartans Edge Closer to CAC Championships with Solid JHU/Loyola Invitational
The York College men’s track & field squad competed at the Johns Hopkins / Loyola Invitational on Saturday in Baltimore, Md. Utilizing the meet as more of a training session, the Spartans finished ninth out of 11 squads capturing 32.5 points.

With a tremendous 14:47.72 in the 5,000 meters, York College men’s track & field sophomore Tim Hartung broke the Capital Athletic Conference and school records in the event Friday afternoon, competing at the Duke Invitational at Duke University in Durham, N.C.

Felciano Breaks 20-Year-Old Record; Jamison Posts Another Strong Day
Will Feliciano set a new Spartan record in the 800 meters, breaking the previous mark set in 1992 while Joquan Jamison continued to post quality performances as the York College men's track & field team hosted Gettysburg, Messiah, and Washington Adventist Tuesday afternoon in York.

Cavaluchi Leads Spartans at Maryland Invitational
Junior Phillip Cavaluchi posted a tremendous performance Saturday as he and the York College men’s track & field squad finished seventh out of nine teams at the 2012 Maryland Invitational at the University of Maryland – College Park. The Green and White competed against a number of Division I programs including Maryland, Navy, and Temple.

The York College men’s track & field team competed at the Golden Ram Collegiate Invitational Saturday at West Chester University in West Chester, Pa. The Spartans put together a strong meet as they recorded a number of quality results.

Spartan Track & Field Hosts Intersquad Alumni Challenge
The York College track & field squad hosted the Green & White Intersquad Alumni Challenge on Saturday prior to officially kicking off their 2012 outdoor campaign next weekend. Featuring current and former York College men's and women's track & field athletes, the meet provided a solid yet relaxed tune-up for the Spartans. On the day, the women's "green" team picked up the victory with 96 points while the men's "white" team proved triumphant with 68 points.

Following their showing at the Crusader Indoor last weekend, the York College men’s track & field squad returned to Susquehanna University this Sunday for the Susquehanna Invitational. This meet served as the Spartans’ final tune-up before heading into next Sunday’s inaugural Capital Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Friesema, Cavaluchi Capture CAC Men's Track & Field Weekly Accolades
The York College men’s track & field team received great news Tuesday as Andrew Friesema and Phillip Cavaluchi were named the Capital Athletic Conference Men’s Track & Field Athletes of the Week. This honor marks the second straight week that a Spartan has garnered the CAC accolade in the sport after Wil Feliciano captured league’s Co-Track Athlete of the Week award last week.

The York College men’s track & field team competed Friday evening at the Susquehanna Crusader Indoor in Selinsgrove, Pa. In their first Division III meet of the 2012 calendar year, the Spartans registered two school records as they continue to establish new program bests this season.

Feliciano Receives CAC Track Co-Athlete of the Week Honors
York College freshman Wil Feliciano has been selected as the Capital Athletic Conference Men’s Track Co-Athlete of the Week for January 31 following his outstanding performance at the George Mason Patriot Games this past weekend. The Macungie, Pa. native was a part of two record-breaking performances on Saturday.

Three Marks Lowered as Spartans Compete at GMU Patriot Games
The York College men’s track & field squad put together a strong showing on Saturday at the Patriot Games hosted by George Mason University. The indoor meet saw the Spartans break three school records as they got to take a look at the host site for the inaugural Capital Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on February 19.

DMR Record Falls; Spartans Compete at Terrapin Invitational
The York College men’s track & field team competed at the 2012 Indoor Terrapin Invitational on Saturday hosted by the University of Maryland – College Park. The Spartans finished with 27 points on the day to nab 11th out of the 17 teams in attendance.
