2011: Opens his freshman season with the York program ... is a gifted distance runner ... coming off a fantastic cross country season, finishing fifth overall at the Capital Athletic Conference Championships ... could become one of the best distance runners to ever don a Spartan uniform.

2011: Had a strong freshman season capping it off with a first place 33:18 at the Capital Athletic Conference Championship in the 10,000 meter run... ran a 57.97 in the 400 meter dash at the UNF Spring Break Invitational on March 4th... ran 1500 meters at a collegiate career best 4:16.08 at the March 30, 2011 Getysburg, Messiah, York Tri-meet only to post a similar 4:16.49 in the same event on April 9,2011...top two times of 4:55.88 and 4:59.59 in the 1600 meter run...recorded a 5:54.42 in the 3000 meter run at the Paul Kaiser Classic on April 30, 2011 besting his previous best of 9:16.55 finished in January 29, 2011 at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational...in the 5000 meter run had a top mark of 15:13 recorded at Tuppany Twilight Last Chance Meet on May 14th besting February 20th time of 14:45...

Personal: Is a nursing major ... is the son of Daniel and Barbara Hartung ... born on July 28, 1992 ... was a cross country captain junior and senior year ... was named all-division freshman, junior, and senior year for cross country in high school ... high school squad made states as during his senior campaign ... names his family and friends as the people he most admires ... hobbies include biking, pick up games of any sport ... favorite athlete is Lance Armstrong ... chose York because of the "great value, engineering program, balance between school and sports" ... most significant athletic achievement is coming back to run again after treatment for Leukemia ... most memorable athletic moment while with the Spartan program is winning the CAC Men's Track & Field team championship in the spring of 2011 ... after graduation he plans on becoming a nurse practitioner in pediatric oncology.
