YORK, Pa. – York College men's track & field senior standout Ben Edwards has been chosen as the latest Capital Athletic Conference Men's Track Athlete-of-the-Week following his performances at a pair of meets late last week.
At the Lebanon Valley Invitational last Friday, Edwards registered a second and third-place finish. The talented senior notched his runner-up spot in the 110 hurdles where he clocked a 16.10 while his third-place time came in the 800 meters.
Competing at the West Chester Golden Ram Invitational on Saturday, Edwards grabbed the victory in the 400 hurdles. His winning time of 57.49 was over a full second faster than the runner-up result of 58.81.
Edwards, who owns each of York's hurdling records, and the Spartans return to action on Saturday, March 26. The Green and White will send competitors to the Goucher Track & Field Classic as well as the Towson Invitational. Both meets are slated for a 10:00 am start.
