SWARTHMORE, PA – A small contingent from the York College men's track & field squad competed at the Swarthmore College Tuppeny Twilight/Last Chance Meet on Monday.
One of York's top performances came from senior distance runner Jason Hinkle (York, Pa./Eastern York). In the 5,000-meter run, Hinkle turned in a school-record 15:03.90 topping his own program mark, set back on April 3rd of this year, by over an incredible 30 seconds.
The Spartans' talented 4x100 squad of Thomas Kentouris (Belle Harbor, N.Y./Saint Edmund's Prep), Damian Myers (Windsor, Pa./Eastern York), Ryan Liggitt (Windsor, Pa./Red Lion), and Darren McKoy (Baltimore, Md./Mount Saint Joseph) posted a 42.40. Despite running a solo race after the other two registered schools scratched from the event, the Green and White garnered a solid time.

Liggitt would go on to take ninth in the 200 with a 22.77.
In the 100-meter dash, Liggitt again took ninth overall with an 11.34. Kentouris and McKoy nabbed 12th and 13th respectively with an 11.47 and an 11.55.
Phil Cavaluchi (Port Carbon, Pa./Pottsville Area), the Green and White's top long-jumper, recorded a fourth place finish in the event with a 6.59-meter leap.
