YORK, PA – The York College men's tennis team capped a perfect weekend with an 8-1 win over Lebanon Valley College on a very warm Sunday afternoon in York. The Spartans have won two straight as they have continued to improve as the fall progresses.

Fifth Singles: Joel Hess (YCP) def. Elliott Kleckner (LVC), 6-2, 6-2
Sixth Singles: Sam Price (YCP) def. Sam Miller (LVC), 6-1, 6-0
The Spartans and Flying Dutchmen were playing for just the second time in the last ten seasons … York has won both the match ups in the last 10 years … Devin Lehigh and Sam Innerst are now ranked inside the top 20 for career victories as Lehigh is 17th with 15 career wins while Innerst is tied for 18th with 14 wins … Innerst, Lehigh, and Joel Hess each lead the Spartans with three wins in singles play … the Spartans swept the doubles points for the first time this year in the victory over LVC … the 8-1 win was York's most lopsided of the year.
York return to action on Friday, September 29 when the Spartans travel to Albright to face the Lions in a non-conference match. The match is slated for a 3:00 pm start. The Spartans then close out their fall campaign on Saturday when they host Catholic in a 12:00 pm match.
