Juniata Hands Men's Tennis Third Straight Loss

HUNTINGDON, PA – The York College men's tennis squad dropped their third straight decision as they fell to Juniata College 7-2 in a non-conference match on Saturday afternoon in Huntingdon, PA.

The Eagles improve to 9-4 overall while the Spartans fall to 10-8.

The Spartans notched a third doubles victory for their first point as the duo of Daniel Erk (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown) and Mario Herrera (San Francisco, Calif./Josua Christian) combined to roll to an 8-2 win.

Erk then recorded York's lone singles victory as he defeated Michael Lifshitz 8-2 in the fifth singles match. The Eagles captured the first four singles matches in straight sets while they won the sixth singles in a pro set.

The Spartans return to action on Sunday when they host St. Mary's College in a Capital Athletic Conference contest. The match is set for a 1:00 pm start.
