Spartans Drop CAC Tilt to #25 Mary Washington

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The York College men's tennis squad suffered a 9-0 Capital Athletic Conference loss to the University of Mary Washington Saturday afternoon in Fredericksburg, Va. The defeat drops the Spartans to 5-5 overall and 1-2 in CAC play while the #25 Eagles improve to 9-11 overall and a flawless 5-0 in league action.

The talented Mary Washington squad took each singles match in straight sets.

In doubles play, the second slot pairing of Philip Myers and James Villari snagged four points in their match while Tyler Cheatham and Nathaniel Hoskins registered three point at third doubles.

The Spartans return to action on Tuesday, April 3, as they travel to Goucher for a 3:30 pm non-conference tilt with the Gophers.
