YORK, PA – The York College men's tennis team closed out their 2011 fall season with a 9-0 non-conference setback against Ursinus College on Saturday afternoon in York. The Spartans close out the fall with a mark of 1-2 while the Bears are now 1-0.
The Bears picked up a trio of wins in the doubles action. Ursinus won the first two matches 8-4 to take the early advantage. They concluded the sweep as David Rowe and Logan Metcalf-Kelly edged the Spartans' Ryan Harvey and Eric Cooperman 9-8 (7-4 in the tiebreaker) in the third doubles match.
