tennis player Travis Klein (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Pocono
Mountain East) was chosen as a Capital Athletic Conference
Co-Player of the Week for the first week of March. Joining Klein in
this accolade is Salisbury freshman Daniel Barnas.
Klein posted a strong 4-1 mark
during the Spartans’ annual winter break trip to Hilton Head,
S.C. York’s #6 singles player won all four of his matches in
straight sets en route to his first CAC accolade.
The sophomore began his season with
a 6-2, 6-1 win over Methodist’s Sean Teeter before he bested
Catholic’s Collin Colburn 6-1, 6-0. Following a loss to
Division II Kutztown’s Arjit Goswami, a match in which Klein
won the first set, he returned to the win column with two more
victories. He triumphed over Grand Rapids Community College’s
Jess Vandellen by a 6-4, 6-3 line and then finished the Hilton Head
