YORK, PA – The York College men's swim team concluded their 2017-18 regular season with a 139-123 win over the University of Mary Washington in a battle of unbeaten conference teams on Saturday in York. The win over the Eagles is the first time since November 4, 2011 when York recorded a 67-55 win over the Eagles. York is the only CAC school to ever beat the Eagles twice during a regular season dual meet.

York has won six straight dual meets … York finished the conference season as the lone unbeaten at 5-0 … freshman Keven Stahl finished his regular season with three more wins as he concluded the campaign with 22 individual wins while he was also a part of five winning relay squads … Stahl set a school, conference, and pool record as the lead off of the 400 free relay … senior Morgan Schreiber celebrated senior day with two more wins as he finished the regular season with 12 individual wins and eight relay victories … sophomore Jesse Tate is the third Spartan in double digits in individual wins as he now has 11 for the year … junior Trevor Brinton earned his fourth individual win of the year with his victory in the 50 freestyle … the loss for Mary Washington is the first since 2011-12 when the Spartans knocked them off … Mary Washington enters the CAC championships as the 17-time defending championship … the last time Mary Washington didn't win the CAC, the Catholic Cardinals won the title in 1999-2000 … York celebrated senior day prior to the meet as Morgan Schreiber, Artem Peshenko, and Billy Sieck were honored for their contribution to the Spartan program.
The Spartans are now off until heading to the 2018 Capital Athletic Conference championships at St. Mary's College on February 23, 24 & 25.
