YORK, PA – The York College men's swim squad earned a 134-56 non-conference dual meet victory over Washington & Jefferson on Saturday afternoon in York.

Notes:

The Spartans swam the 100 breaststroke, and the 200 free relay as exhibitions as the final score was well in hand for the Green and White … IN the 100 breaststroke, sophomore Jesse Tate had the best time in the event with a 1:01.23 while Glaucio Silva (1:02.35) and Michael Federline (1:04.02) had the second and third best times … the foursome of Silva, Drew Newman, Kaelan Dowdall, and Nick Foltz posted the best time of 1:30.87 in the 200 free relay … Trevor Brinton, Artem Peshenko, AJ Loehr, and Jacob McConnell combined to post a second best time of 1:30.98 in the 200 free relay … freshman Keven Stahl earned two more wins without swimming his signature events … Stahl now has a team-high seven wins as he has earned at least two wins in each of his three collegiate meets … it's the first meet that Stahl has not set a school or pool record … Tate earned his fifth win of the year as he is second on the team individual wins … freshman Mitchell LaBenski earned a pair of runner-up finishes during the meet.

 

Up Next:

The Spartans return to action on Friday when they travel to Lancaster to participate in the three-day Franklin & Marshall Invitational. The action kicks off Friday evening at 6:00 pm.
