Title: Asst. Men's Soccer Coach

Matt Haney returns to the Spartan sidelines for his sixth season as a York assistant, after holding that title from 2000-2002. Following his initial stint with the Spartans, Haney became the head boys’ soccer coach at Millville High School, before becoming an assistant at Division I St. Francis (PA). While at St. Francis, he helped lead the Red Flash to the Northeast Conference title while setting the school record for shutouts in a season.

Haney brings extensive experience to the Spartan program as well as a unique passion for the game. His responsibilities included practice planning, skill development, game stragetgy, and will be instrumental in York's defensive game-plans.

Haney played collegiately as a goalkeeper at Wilkes University, helping lead his squad to the 1992 MAC Northeast final.
