How It Happened
• The Spartans struck early in the 11th minute when Nathan Bilbie played in a bending free kick that found the foot of Barak Amige who was able to find the back of the net from in close to give the Spartans an early 1-0 lead.
• The defense held strong and held the lead 1-0 at halftime and limited the Cougars to only six shots in the first half.
• The Spartan defense continued to be a force in the second period as the held Kean scoreless backed by three saves by senior goalkeeper Devin Weiner to secure the 1-0 shutout victory.

York is now 3-1-0 all-time against Kean …this was the first meeting in the series since September 15, 2010 and the first win over the Cougars since September 16, 2009 … the Spartans end their six-game road trip with a 4-1-1 record and outscoring their opponents 10-3 … junior Barak Amige tallied his first goal of the season while senior Nathan Bilbie recorded his first assist on the year … this was York's fourth shutout win this year … the Spartans improve their already stellar road record to 6-1-1 this season.
York returns home after their six-game road trip to take on Southern Virginia in a CAC contest on Saturday. Kick off slated for 3:00 pm.
