YORK, PA - York College junior defender Aaron Beale (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday. It is the second time this year that Beale has been recognized for his outstanding play.
Aaron Beale led the Spartans to a pair of outstanding defensive performances for the week as the Green and White posted a pair of shutouts. The Spartans started the week by blanking MAC Freedom tournament participant Manhattanville 3-0. The Spartan defense limited the Valiants to just two shots in the game with only one of those attempts being on target. Beale and the defense were equally as good in the opening round of the CAC Tournament as they shutout St. Mary's as they limited the Seahawks to just two off-target shots.
The Spartans return to action on Thursday, November 1 when they travel to Frostburg State to play the Bobcats in the CAC Semifinals.
