Beale Named the CAC Defensive Co-Player of the Week

YORK, PA -Junior defender Aaron Beale (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Defensive Co-Player of the Week for the week ending October 14, 2012 as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Beale spearheaded a pair of Spartan shutout wins this past week. In the 1-0 victory over Gettysburg, Beale played all 90 minutes as York limited the Bullets to four total shots and three shots on goal.

In the 4-0 win over St. Mary's, Beale played the first 64:11 of the game before subbing out in the lopsided win. The Spartan defense held the Seahawks to four total shots with just two of those chances coming on target.

For the year, the Spartan defense has allowed 10 goals against in 15 games, good for a 0.67 goals against average.
