2012: Enters his final campaign striving to carve out increased playing time . . . is an athletic student-athlete who can man the flanks either in the back or the midfield . . . gained good experience as a junior and will look to build on that for this season . . . looks to be in the mix as a starting wide defender.
2011: Appeared in 18 games with eight starts this season . . . tallied three assists for three points . . . took four shots with one on goal.
2010: Provided quality minutes for the Spartans serving mostly in a reserve role . . . played in 13 contests for York, drawing one start . . . was in the first XI against Hood on October 26, which York won 3-0 . . . played well as an outside back for the Green and White . . . part of York's fifth Capital Athletic Conference Tournament championship and sixth straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
2009: Appeared in eight Spartan contests . . . played mainly a defensive role . . . recorded a shot in York’s 7-0 victory over CAC foe Gallaudet on September 30 . . . made an NCAA Tournament appearance in the Spartans’ 6-0 win over Cazenovia in the first round . . . helped the Spartans to their fourth CAC Tournament championship . . . was part of York’s fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Personal: Is a biology major . . . currently has an impressive 3.82 cumulative GPA . . . has made the Dean’s List six times . . . the son of Kenneth and Lori DeLong . . . born on July 4, 1990 . . . played club soccer for North Union United . . . was a 2009 all-state selection in high school . . . made the Dean’s List in the fall and spring semesters of his freshman campaign . . . names his grandfather as the person he most admires . . . hobbies include basketball, golf, and video games . . . favorite athlete is Derek Jeter . . . chose York because of soccer and major . . . most significant athletic achievement is being part of the 1,000-point club during high school basketball . . . plans on working in optometry after graduation.
