Bua Chosen to NSCAA All-Region Squad

YORK, Pa. – The York College men's soccer team received outstanding news Thursday as junior forward Antonio Bua was selected to the 2011 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-South Atlantic Region squad. For his efforts this season, Bua was chosen to represent the Spartans on the third team.

Bua put together a quality season for the Green and White which finished 11-6-5 overall, won their third consecutive Capital Athletic Conference Tournament title, and appeared in their seventh straight NCAA Tournament.

The junior provided a dynamic and athletic attacking presence for the Green and White as he played in 21 of York's 22 contests while starting 19 of those matches. Over that period, Bua notched six goals, including a game-winner in the Spartans' 1-0 triumph at Gettysburg on October 19, while distributing five assists.

Also chosen to the All-CAC first-team this season, this marks Bua's first appearance on the all-region list. His selection marks the eighth-straight season, and 13th of the previous 15 years, that the Green and White have landed at least one player on the NSCAA All-Region squad.
