YORK, Pa. - York College men's soccer senior Steven LeVine has been chosen as the latest Capital Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
LeVine, one of York's starting centerbacks, was instrumental in the Spartans' 1-0-1 week. In a midweek conference tilt at Stevenson, LeVine helped lead the York side to a 4-1 triumph while only allowing nine Mustang shots throughout the 90 minutes of action.
On Saturday against visiting CAC foe Mary Washington, LeVine and the Spartan defense played 110 minutes of scoreless soccer, 65 of which saw the Green and White playing with only ten men. With the final 0-0 result, the Spartans now stand at 5-5-4 overall and 2-1-3 in league play.
For the season, LeVine has started in each of York's 14 contests as the Spartans have posted a quality 0.87 goals against average.
York now turns its attention to Wednesday, October 19, when they travel to nearby Gettysburg for a 7:00 pm non-conference tilt.
