    Spartan Men Capture Third Straight CAC Men's Commissioner's Award For the third consecutive year, the York College Spartans captured the Capital Athletic Conference Men’s Commissioner’s Award as announced by the conference office recently. The Spartans, after winning the award outright in the last two years, shared the title with Salisbury this season as both teams accumulated 86 points for the year.

    Gill and Good Receive NSCAA Scholar All-Region Honors The York College men’s soccer program received great news this winter as seniors Mike Gill and Trey Good were recognized for their academic performance as well as their on field success. Named to the honorable mention list of NSCAA Scholar All-Region squad, Gill and Good mark the first time in the history of the program that Spartans received such an honor.

    York College Announces Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2012 The York College Athletic Department, in conjunction with the York College Alumni Office, is proud to announce the Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2012. This year’s class is comprised of men’s basketball player Dave Martins, women’s cross country runner Beth Ann Hooper and men’s soccer forward Matt Shealer. The class is the 22nd in the hall’s history and the three honorees bring the total number of former Spartan standouts enshrined to 79.

    2011 York College Men's Soccer Season Preview Building what has become nearly a tradition, the York College men’s soccer program has established and maintained a level of excellence over the past six seasons. Beginning with the 2005 campaign, the Spartans have won four of the previous six Capital Athletic Conference Tournament Championships (including the 2009 and 2010 titles), reached the NCAA Tournament in six straight seasons, and reached as high as #2 in the national poll during that time. But the question is however; will the 2011 squad stack up to those lofty standards set by previous Spartan teams?
