YORK, Pa. – York College's Graham Field is the setting for
an early season top-ten men's soccer matchup. On Wednesday,
September 8, the #10 York College men's soccer squad hosts visiting
#6 Johns Hopkins in a 4:00 pm non-conference tilt.
Both squads have opened the season with identical 2-0 records. The
Spartans have accumulated their two victories on the road via a 1-0
overtime defeat of Susquehanna on September 1 and a 3-1 triumph
over Cabrini on September 4. This contest marks the first home
match for the Green and White in 2010.
Hopkins travels up from Baltimore, Md. after winning their own
"Blue Jay Classic" last weekend. The Blue Jays dispatched Buffalo
State 7-0 in the opener before topping Catholic 1-0 in the title
game.
Both the Spartans and Blue Jays were NCAA Tournament participants
a season ago, as both reached the Sweet 16.
