2010 Spartan Soccer Camps

Soccer at York College:
The York College Men’s Soccer Program has become one of the top programs at any level of collegiate soccer for the past several years. With a record of 95-6-14 during the past five seasons, the program has developed into a national power, finishing in the top-10 nationally each of these years. In addition , the program has a strong reputation of not only playing quality soccer, but also playing an attractive and fun style that focuses on individual quality within a team concept. The results, as well as the quality, have been a staple of this program. 

Camps:
The Spartan Soccer Camps focus on producing high quality on the playing field. The three camps (High School Boys, High School Girls, and Spartan Boys’/Girls’ Soccer Academy) focus on playing an attractive, fun, and creative style within the team framework. Individual attention is provided to each camper from both the team head coach as well as the staff coach, a York College soccer player. With these camps, the players will get special attention to develop his or her game and take it to the next level. They will also be challenged in a fun, yet competitive environment, which will allow for maximum learning and development.

Camp Staff:
The Spartan Soccer Camp staff has been carefully selected by head coach Mark Ludwig to instruct not only playing quality soccer, but also teaching all aspects of the game (technical ability, tactical awareness, sportsmanship, and most importantly, having fun).  Each “team” is coached by a head coach (York College men’s soccer staff, international youth coaches, collegiate coaches from all levels, local, quality high school and club coaches).  Each staff member is given a full curriculum guide as a model, but have the freedom to mold each session and game to what they feel is appropriate to maximize learning and enjoyment by each player.  The coach/staff to player ratio is 1:7.  Each coach is held to highest standards by the camp director.
