Ports Selected as CAC Co-Player of the Week
YORK, PA - York College men’s soccer
standout Jon Ports (Baltimore, Md./McDonogh) has
been selected as the Capital Athletic Conference Co-Player of the
Week for his performance in a 4-0 Spartan win against Mary
Washington last Saturday. This is the second time in 2008 that
Ports has received the honor.
On the Spartans first score of the afternoon, Ports distributed
his team-leading eighth assist to freshman Kemal Nuspahic
(East Petersburg, Pa./Warwick) to put the Spartans up
1-0.
Ports then added to his points tally for the year as he scored
York’s third goal of the afternoon, his tenth on the
season.
Ports and the #2 Spartans will put their 15-0 record on the line
Wednesday as they host Wesley College showdown of two of the top
teams in the CAC. Game time from Graham Field is slated for 4:00
pm.
