Mike O’Connell enters his junior year looking to build upon a solid postseason in 2007. O’Connell came on strong in the latter portion of his sophomore campaign tallying several big goals for the Spartans down the stretch. He is a dangerous box player that can get on the end of crosses or create combinations with midfield runners. O’Connell will look to compete for minutes up front as he molds into a consistent offensive threat with the ability to put up significant numbers.
