Lucas Emil comes into his sophomore campaign looking to build upon his rookie year. Emil saw action in 22 of York’s 25 contests, but early season injuries stalled his development. Even so, Emil showed flashes of brilliance as the season progressed, providing the Spartans with an extremely dangerous attacker. His natural ability and creativity, combined with a strong spring season, put Emil in a position to win one of the attacking spots in the Spartans’ 2008 lineup.
