Mike Whalen comes into his junior year as another valuable piece of the Spartan defense. Whalen played in and started 23 contests last year as he tallied one goal, a game-winner at Albright, from his central defense position. He provided an excellent pairing in the middle of the defense that disrupted numerous attacks by the Spartan opponents. Whalen is a very solid athlete who possesses excellent composure on the ball. He will look to direct and organize the team once again from the center of the defense. Whalen is the son of Mike and Dianne Whalen.
