Michael Hofmeister enters his second year on Brandon Childs' staff. He has been promoted to the Spartan lead assistant coach in the fall of 2012. Hofmeister possesses extensive playing experience and that enables him to relate and coach the Spartan players.

A 2010 graduate of Eastern University in St. David’s, Pa., Hofmeister played for the Eagles for four seasons, appearing in each contest during his career. Hofmeister was named a captain for his senior season and garnered all-conference honors that same season. An Eastern University Alumni Award recipient, he received the Coaches Award in 2008 and the Heart Award in 2010.
