Spartan Men's Lacrosse Makes History with NCAA Tournament Berth

YORK, PA – The York College men's lacrosse team made history on Sunday night as they earned their first-ever NCAA Tournament berth as the field was announced on Sunday night.

York not only earned a berth in the tournament but they will host Susquehanna in an opening round game on Wednesday afternoon at Kinsley Field.

The Spartans earned their tournament berth after finishing the season with a school-record 15 wins. York shared the Capital Athletic Conference regular season championship with second-ranked Salisbury and advanced to the tournament championship game where they fell to the Gulls on Saturday.

Susquehanna earned their way into the NCAA Tournament with a 9-6 win over Goucher College for the Landmark Conference championship. The berth is the Crusaders second straight after winning the 2013 Landmark title. Susquehanna fell to Salisbury last year in their first NCAA tournament game.
