Men's Lacrosse Breaks into USILA Top 20

YORK, PA – The York College men's lacrosse team received good news on Monday as the Spartans made their first-ever appearance in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) 2013 Coaches Poll as announced by the organization on Monday afternoon.

The week six poll saw the Spartans vault in the top 20 after running their win streak to five on Saturday. The Spartans made their poll debut at number 18 as they received 31 points.

The Spartans are one of three Capital Athletic Conference teams in the poll. Salisbury is ranked sixth with a record of 10-2 while Mary Washington is currently 17th with a mark of 7-2. Salisbury had 219 points while the Eagles got 49 points in the voting.

The Green and White returns to action on Wednesday night when they close out their out-of-conference slate at Ursinus College. First face-off is set for 7:00 pm in Collegeville, PA.
