SALISBURY, MD – The seventh ranked Salisbury University Sea Gulls stifled the high flying York College Spartan offense 9-3 in the Capital Athletic Conference opener for both squads on Wednesday night in Salisbury, MD.

The Spartans finally got on the board with 7:01 left in the half as Tyler Hutson (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) converted a man-up opportunity for the Spartans' first goal. James Burton pushed the Salisbury lead back to four with a goal less than a minute after Hutson's tally but Spartan junior captain Seth Krolus (Westminster, Md./Loyola Blakefield) scored his fourth goal of the year 1:14 prior to the half as York would trail by three at the break.

York converted another man-advantage opportunity just 31 seconds into the third quarter as Andrew Gamble (Easton, Md./Easton) scored to bring York to within two at 5-3.
