How It Happened

• The game got off to a slow start as the defenses were well in front of the offenses. The teams were back and forth with five lead changes and six ties over the opening 20 minutes of play. With the game tied at 17, Brandon Coleman hit a three pointer to put the Lions on top. Coleman split a pair of free throws to put Harrisburg up four with 6:24 left in the half. York clamped down defensively, holding Harrisburg to just two points over the final six minutes of the half. While the Spartan defense was clicking, the offense managed to put 10 points on the board as York took a 27-23 lead to the break.

• York wasted little time in building their lead in the second half as they quickly increased the lead to 11 on a Darin Gordon three at the 17:03 mark. The Lions scored eight straight points to cut the York advantage to three. However, the Spartans ripped off an 11-0 run covering over five minutes as the lead grew to 49-35.

• The Lions trimmed the York lead to eight twice but the Spartans answered by pushing their advantage to a game-high 18 points on a Jared Wagner lay-up with 2:57 left in the game. The Spartans cruised to the finish line from there in earning their first CAC road win of the year.
