YORK, PA - York College senior forward Dalton Myers has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Myers led the Spartans to a 2-0 week with a pair of Capital Athletic Conference victories as York improved to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the league .
Myers started the week with a season-high 28 points and 12 rebounds for his third double-double of the year in the win over Frostburg in York. Myers was 10-for-16 from the floor, 1-for-3 from three and 7-for-9 from the free throw line.
In the road win over Marymount on Saturday, Myers notched 14 points, six rebounds, a season-high four assists and a blocked shot. Myers was 2-for-4 from three and 2-for-3 from the line in the win.
For the week, Myers averaged 21 points and nine rebounds per game as he shot 53.6% from the floor, 42.9% from three and 75% from the free throw line. He added five assists and a blocked shot in the two wins for the Spartans.
For the season, Myers is averaging 17.6 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. He is shooting 57.5% from the floor, 45.8% (11-for-24) from three and 74.1% from the line. He moved up to 18th on the Spartans' all-time scoring list as he now has 1,130 points for his York College career.
