York College senior guard Julian Watson (Odenton, Md./Arundel) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Watson shared the award with Wesley's Paul Reynolds.
Watson was outstanding in the Spartans' lone game of last week to earn the award. Watson poured in a career-high 29 points in York's 90-71 win over future CAC opponent Penn State Harrisburg. The senior point guard was 8-for-11 from the floor while he registered career-highs with a 13-for-16 performance from the free throw line.
Watson also had four rebounds, four assists and a steal in his 38 minutes of work in the Spartan win.
For the season, Watson is averaging 15.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. He is shooting 51.7% from the floor, 50% from three and 64.1% from the free throw line.
