Whaley and Kouvaris Selected to All-CAC SquadThe York College men’s basketball program received good news on Tuesday afternoon as senior guard Kevin Whaley and junior forward Paul Kouvaris were selected to the 2010-11 All-Capital Athletic Conference teams as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon. Whaley earned a berth on the first-team while Kouvaris was a second-team selection.
Salisbury Downs Spartans in the CAC First RoundThe York College men’s basketball team saw their successful 2010-11 season come to a close with a 77-64 loss to Salisbury University in the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament First Round Tuesday night in York. The Spartans, who swept the regular season series from the Gulls, finish the season 17-9. Salisbury advances to the CAC semifinals, as they will travel to Wesley College to face the second-seeded Wolverines on Thursday night at seven.

Amanda and I left for our trip to Europe on the 16th of December and almost immediately upon return her family showed up for a week. When they left my family was here for five days. Now our last visitors are here, two of Amanda’s close friends from back in high school. Things have been hectic with traveling, basketball, family, and coaching.

Nick Brady Blog #5 - November 18, 2010It is almost November 15th! For the first time in what feels like an eternity, I am looking forward to this day to watch a game, and not play in it. It just gives me this pit in my stomach to not be taking the floor in front of 1,500 screaming fans in green and white. It is crazy to me that while my boys will be playing in their first game of the year on Monday, I will have already had a handful of games under my belt.

Brady Inks Professional Basketball ContractYork College graduated senior guard Nick Brady has inked a professional contract with Briedablik of the Icelandic Express League. The team is based out of Kopavogur, Iceland and is the countrys second largest city and has a population of over 30,000 residents.
Whaley and Keefer Honored by the NABCThe York College mens basketball team had two players honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) as rising senior Kevin Whaley and graduated senior Jeremy Keefer each earned 2009-10 National Honors Courts accolades as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
