2010-11: Begins his second year in the Spartan program looking to earn a spot in the Spartan rotation . . . is a good shooter that has deep range and the ability to shoot the ball at a high percentage . . . showed the ability to do a number of different things on the floor during his freshman year . . . brings a strong understanding of the game . . . is a hard worker that continues to develop in all facets of his game . . . is a very coachable athlete that should make an impact on the Spartan squad this year.
2009-10: Played in 25 of the Spartans’ 26 games during the season, coming off the bench in all his appearances . . . averaged 7.1 minutes per game during his freshman campaign . . . contributed 2.8 points and 1.2 rebounds per game for York . . . had an outstanding 2.7-to-1 (24 assists and 9 turnovers) assist to turnover ratio . . . registered a career-high 11 points in the January 23 game at Wesley . . . converted a career-high four field goals in the December 9 win over Gallaudet . . . hit a career-high two three-point field goals in four different games with the last one coming on February 8 against Salisbury . . . shot a solid 73.9% (17-for-23) from the free throw line . . . scored in 11 of his appearances and grabbed at least one rebound in 12 of his games.
Personal: Is the son of Randy and Debra Kemp. . . born on November 21, 1990 . . . is an Elementary Education major . . . played for Tom Triggs at York Suburban High School . . . sister Jess was a four-year letterwinner for the Spartan women’s basketball program from 2003 to 2007 . . . was a 1,000 career point scorer at York Suburban and finished his career third all-time in points . . . earned first-team All-County and All-District honors as a senior in addition to being a second-team All-State selection . . . his York Suburban squad won the AAA District Championship and earned a berth in the AAA State Final Four . . . was a Trojan captain as a senior . . . finished his career as the top three point shooter in school history.
