YORK, PA - Senior guard Nick Brady (Hanover, Pa./Delone
Catholic) has been named the Spartan Athlete-of-the-Week
for the third time this season following his week leading the
men’s basketball squad.
Brady led the Spartans to a 1-1 performance as he notched a career-high 36 points in the win at Mary Washington on Wednesday. In the victory over the Eagles, Brady converted five threes while he added two boards and two assists in 37 minutes of action.
In York’s tough loss at Wesley, Brady tallied 17 points including 11-for-12 at the free throw line. He also pulled in nine rebounds, handed out two assists and two steals.
For the week, Brady averaged 26.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals. He shot 50% from the floor, 41.2% from three, and 88.9% (16-for-18) from the free throw line.
For the season, he is averaging 20.1 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 1.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. He is shooting 49.2% from the floor, 42.4% from three, and 85.4% from the line.
Brady, who continues to lead his team by example, takes the Spartans into their next Capital Athletic Conference on Saturday, January 30 as the Green and White host Hood College in a 2:00 p.m. tilt.
