YORK, PA – York College men’s basketball senior guard Nick Brady (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) brings home his second CAC Player-of-the-Week award for the 2009-10 season, when the conference announced him Co-Player of the Week alongside Mary Washington’s Brandon Altmann on Monday.
Brady earned his stripes by scoring a game-high 30 points while adding two boards, three steals and an assist as the Spartans were able to complete the regular-season sweep against Hood, courtesy of an 88-80 home victory last Saturday. Brady was 10-for-16 in field goal tries including 6-of-10 from long range and nailed all four free throws to lift the Spartans into second place in the standings.
Bringing home athlete of the week awards is nothing new to Brady, as he adds his second CAC Player-of-the-Week honors to an already impressive collection of three Spartan-Athlete-of-the-Week accolades. All the recognition has been no surprise as Brady has been a key part to the Spartans success all season. He currently leads the Spartans in points per game with 20.6 while he is second on the team in rebounds per game with 5.6.
Look for Brady and the 15-4 Spartans to continue their superb play when they take on CAC foe Marymount this Wednesday at the Grumbacher Sport & Fitness Center. Tip off is set for 8 p.m.
