York College Golfer Andrew Schmehl has been named Spartan Athlete-of-the-Week for his play at the CAC tournament championships, which earned the sophomore Co-CAC Player of the year Accolades.

Schmehl Earns CAC Co-Player of the Year as York Finishes Second
The York College golf squad shot a team score of 317 during day two of the 2010 CAC Championship tournament at Wild Quail Golf and Country Club in Wyoming, Delaware on Sunday. Unfortunately, that wouldn’t be good enough to defend their title as the host Wesley Wolverines shot a very solid 305 to earn their second team title in three years. The Spartans finished the tournament 11 strokes back of Wesley while Stevenson was 18 strokes back of the Spartans in third. Marymount finished fourth while the Hood Blazers finished fifth.

Spartans' Record Day Gives Them One Stroke Lead at CAC Championships
The York College golf squad got off to a sizzling start in defense of their Capital Athletic Conference championship as the Spartans lead Wesley College by a stroke after the first round of the 2010 CAC Championship tournament at Wild Quail Golf and Country Club in Wyoming, Del.
