LEBANON, PA – The York College golf squad posted a fifth place finish at Monday's 16-team Lebanon Valley Invitational at Lebanon Country Club in Lebanon, PA. The Spartans shot a team score of 314, 13 strokes back of team champion Messiah College. Albright (303) finished second, Alvernia (310) placed third followed by Stevenson (312) in fourth.
For the third straight tournament, York was led by senior Adam Dupler. The Spartan left-hander fired a three-over-par 75 to finish the 81-player field tied for sixth. Dupler is averaging 74.5 strokes per round in his last four rounds for the Green and White. Dupler's top ten finish is his fourth of the year and 19th of his career.
Fellow senior Adam Burkhart and sophomore Kevin Long backed Dupler with a pair of seven-over-par 79's. The duo tied for 25th with their finish. Senior Andrew Schmehl rounded out the Spartans scorers as he shot an 81.
The Spartans conclude their fall campaign on Thursday afternoon as they travel to the Elizabethtown College to participate in the Blue Jay Fall Classic. The tournament is slated for a 12:30 start.
