HERSHEY, PA – The York College golf squad finished 8th of 18 teams at Thursday's Elizabethtown College Blue Jay Invitational at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, PA. The Spartans shot a team total of 331 as they finished four strokes out of a top five team finish. Moravian College won the team title over Messiah on a match of fifth players as the two squads finished with a team total of 317. Immaculata finished fourth while Penn State-Harrisburg notched a fourth-place finish. Albright and FDU-Florham finished tied for fifth with a score of 327.
The Spartans were paced by freshman Kevin Long as he fired a nine-over-par 80, finishing tied for 14th overall. Junior Adam Dupler was the next Spartan finisher as he shot an 83 which tied him for 28th in the 93-player field.
The Spartans, who are now 59-31-2 overall, return to action on Sunday, April 10 when they travel to the two-day Glenmaura Invitational.
