GETTYSBURG, PA – The York College golf squad finished tied for fourth at Thursday's Gettysburg Fall Golf Invitational at The Links of Gettysburg Golf Club in Gettysburg, PA. The Spartans shot a team total of 327 to tie with Stevenson University in the 11 team field. Gettysburg won the tournament with a team score of 313 while Messiah placed second followed by Dickinson.
The Spartans were led by freshman Kevin Long as he carded a five-over-par 77. Long finished tied for fourth, his highest finish of the year. Junior Adam Burkhart was the next Spartan finisher as he tied for 12th with his eight-over-par 80.
Freshman Ryan Feeney shot an 84 to finish tied for 27th in the 60-player field. Junior Adam Dupler was the final Spartan finisher as he shot an 86 to finish tied for 35th.
The Green and White closes out the 2010 fall campaign on Tuesday when they travel to the Messiah College Invitational.
