The York College golf squad shot a team score of 317 during day two of the 2010 CAC Championship tournament at Wild Quail Golf and Country Club in Wyoming, Delaware on Sunday. Unfortunately, that wouldnt be good enough to defend their title as the host Wesley Wolverines shot a very solid 305 to earn their second team title in three years. The Spartans finished the tournament 11 strokes back of Wesley while Stevenson was 18 strokes back of the Spartans in third. Marymount finished fourth while the Hood Blazers finished fifth.

The Spartans golf team heads into this weekends CAC Championship tournament primed to repeat as Conference champions. While the Spartans are a youthful team, the squad is returning three of its five starters from last season.
The York College golf squad closed out their 2010 regular season with a fourth place finish at the 12-school Messiah College Falcon Classic at Blue Ridge Country Club in Harrisburg, PA. The Spartans shot a team score 326 to finish 17 strokes back of the host Falcons as Messiah won the title with a score of 309. Franklin & Marshall shot 312 to finish second while Dickinson shot 315 to finish third. Albright rounded out the top five with a score of 329.
York sophomore Andrew Schmehl was named the CAC Golf Athlete of the Week after capturing medalist honors at the Penn State-Harrisburg Spring Classic. It is the second time the sophomore has earned the player of the week award.

The Spartans fired a team total of 609, besting the host Lions by 10 strokes. Stevenson finished third at 622 while Elizabethtown was fourth in the six-team tournament.

The York College golf squad won the Dickinson Invitational on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon at Eagles Crossing Golf Course in Carlisle, Pa. The Spartans shot a team total of 316 to win the tournament by five strokes over Gettysburg College.
The York College golf squad finished seventh of 14 full varsity squads at the 2010 Gettysburg Spring Invitational at The Links of Gettysburg in Gettysburg, Pa. The Spartans shot a team total of 334, finishing 27 strokes behind tournament champion Wesley College. The Wolverines won the team title by five strokes over Susquehanna and 11 strokes over Dickinson. Messiah and Neumann rounded out the top five finishing teams.
The York College golf squad concluded their 2009 fall golf campaign with a sixth place finish at the Gettysburg Fall Invitational. The Spartans shot a team score of 342 as they finished 42 strokes back of team champion Messiah College.
HERSHEY, PA The York College golf team found themselves shorthanded as they finished 11th at the 16 team Elizabethtown Blue Jay Classic on a breezy Wednesday afternoon at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, PA. The Spartans, who only had a four-man lineup for the tournament, shot a season-worst score of 357.

The York College golf squad continued it's strong early season showing by finishing second at the 22-school Lebanon Valley College Fall Invitational at Lebanon Country Club in Lebanon, Pa. The Spartans, who won the 11-team PSU Harrisburg Tournament last week, are now a stellar 32-1 so far in 2009.
The York College golf squad opened their 2009-10 season with a win at the 12-team PSU-Harrisburg Fall Invitational at Dauphin Highlands Golf Course in Harrisburg, PA. The Spartans edged Stevenson by one shot to earn their second straight PSU-Harrisburg Fall Invitational title.
The York College golf squad enters this year in a little bit of a different position. That position is one of a defending conference champions. The Spartans cruised to their first league crown last April and will look to win back-to-back title led by sophomores Adam Dupler and Andrew Schmehl, and senior Cody Trabert.
