YORK, PA – York College junior Cody Trabert (York, Pa./Central York) has been selected as the Capital Athletic Conference golf Athlete of the Week for his stellar performance last Thursday at the Dickinson Invitational.
    Trabert fired a four-over-par 74, which allowed him to capture an overall third-place finish. The junior’s total was tops among the Spartan squad which finished in second-place as a team with a cumulative score of 309.
    He followed up one strong showing with another as Trabert then tied for tenth at last Tuesday’s Gettysburg Spring Invitational. Carding a six-over-par 78 deadlocked the junior with four other players while his score also helped the Spartans to a 317 team score. That 317 allowed the Green and White to tie for second place at the invitational, York’s second runner-up finish in as many tournaments this spring.
    Trabert and the Spartans will look to capture their first victory of the season on Monday, March 30, when the Green and White host the York Invitational at the Out Door Country Club. Tee-time is slated for 1:00 pm.
