Petrillo, Posey Receive All-Region Honors
York College field hockey standouts senior Katie Petrillo (Howell, N.J./Freehold Township) and freshman Ali Posey (Airville, Pa./Red Lion) both earned Longstreth/HFHCA Division III Second Team All-South Region honors as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Monday.

Posey Named Rookie of the Year, Four Spartans Earn All-CAC Selections
Freshman Ali Posey (Airville, Pa./Red Lion) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Field Hockey Rookie of the Year as the York College field hockey team earned four All-CAC selections as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.

The York College field hockey team saw its season come to a close on Wednesday night at Salisbury, Md. in a 5-0 defeat to No. 1 Salisbury in the Capital Athletic Conference semifinal round.

After a being absent from the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament a year ago, the York College field hockey team is heading to the semifinal round this year after picking up a 2-0 win at St. Mary’s (Md.) on Sunday afternoon.

A penalty stroke by sophomore Sydney LaMarsh (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) in overtime gave the York College field hockey team a 3-2 victory over Frostburg State on Wednesday afternoon at Kinsley Field on Senior Day.

Despite scoring an early go-ahead goal and an Autumn Mallory hat trick, the York College field hockey team eventually suffered a 5-3 loss to the hands of No. 16 Mary Washington on the road on Wednesday evening.

Spartans Roll Past Mustangs En Route to 10th Win of Season
The York College field hockey team chalked up its 10th win of the season with a 2-1 victory at Stevenson on Wednesday evening. Today the Spartans reached double-digit victories for the second fastest time in program history, winning 10 of its first 12 games. In 1998 season, York won 10 of its first 11 games.
