Seven Spartans Receive NFHCA Academic Accolade

YORK, Pa. – The York College field hockey team received great news this spring semester as seven Spartans were honored by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association for their academic success during the 2010 campaign.

Freshman Kailey Brewer, sophomores Danielle Gaitings and Lydia Pirie, junior Ashton Burk, and seniors Katie Dawkins, Kelly Kreamer and Becky Reeves each received the accolade for their outstanding efforts in the classroom.

Each of these student athletes has registered a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or greater through the 2010-2011 academic year.

Kramer and Reeves have been named to the Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad for each of their four year with the Green and White.

The Spartans return in 2011 season as Swartz and her team look for further success on and off the field.
