YORK, Pa. – York College field hockey sophomore goalkeeper
Lydia Pirie has been selected to this week's www.womensfieldhockey.com Player-of-the-Week honor
roll after her 3-0 performance during York's three games last
week.
Pirie, who was also chosen as the Capital Athletic Conference
Field Hockey Defensive Player-of-the-Week, recorded three triumphs
over her first three collegiate starts.
She recorded a career high 12 saves in the 3-1 triumph over
Dickinson as her goal was consistently pelted with shots throughout
the contest. Pirie then totaled five saves over the Spartans' next
two games (three against Wilson, two against Frostburg) as the
Green and White won 5-1 and 3-1, respectively.
