YORK, PA - York College senior shortstop Colin Porter (Hanover, Pa./South Western) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.
Porter had a huge weekend in leading the Spartans to a trio of wins including a pair of league wins over Marymount. Porter started his week with two home runs and three RBI in the game one win over the Saints. He drew a walk in the win. In game two, the senior shortstop went 1-for-4 with two runs scored, a double and an RBI. He concluded his week with a 4-for-4 performance in the shutout win over Randolph-Macon. Porter scored twice and had two RBI in the victory.
For the week, Porter hit .583 (7-for-16) with six runs scored, six RBI, three walks, two doubles, and two home runs. He boasted a 1.250 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage.
